I chose the Babyliss Midnight Luxe 2300 & so far I am very pleased with it. It has 2 rocker switches, one for each of the 3 variable heat & speed settings, better than sliding switches. I thought it being a 2300 it might be too powerful but it's OK. It also has a cool shot which I find useful. And it was on offer. The colour is good too. My hair is quite fine so can't really comment on smoothness etc, I use products to keep my hair in check.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Annie from Very lightweight and good value. Bought this to replace a very similar Babylis hairdryer I'd had for 10 years but dodgy wiring killed it off. Very happy with this new model mainly the weight. It's 1/2 as heavy as my old model. I use the lower speed and mid temperature to dry short hair very quickly. Quite had my old one packed up!
