The tongs work well, but the controls get in the way when using them (very frustrating to have them switch off), and also when you wrap the unit in its heatproof jacket. So you MUST switch them off at the plug when not using. Don’t recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by salelnel from Great for fine hair, bad button placement I have shoulder length fine wavy hair and these do a great job at straightening and waving, and the style holds. As my hair is fine, I have found GHDs or top quality straighteners are ‘too’ effective - they sleek and straighten my hair completely flat which looks awful, so these lower/mid range straighteners are perfect for the job! I have had my pair for about five years and they’re still going strong. My only gripe is that the button placement is completely wrong. The buttons are where you place your fingers, particularly if you are waving your hair, and it means you accidentally turn them off all the time, it’s a massive design flaw.
